And…off to Phoenix
Posted on July 18, 2008
For the FIRST trip. I’m headed to the Native American Basketball Invitational tournament. As some of you know, I just spent some time in Reno frying my butt off hanging with a team on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation. Well, on to Phoenix. I’ll be driving on down on Sunday and I’ll be back on Thursday. My sister called to inform me that it was 115 F in Phoenix today. SPECIAL!
But that’s just part of the stuff of life. You can also catch my second installment of my Reno trip at my blog on WOW!. Here’s the link. I just LOVE sharing the love with y’all!
All right, more as it becomes available! Keep it real, yo.

Hi, all–
I’m just back from Nevada and getting ready to go to Phoenix to to the NABI tournament and the the GCLS conference. “Land of Entrapment” should be shipping to those who pre-ordered from Starcrossed. I am currently trying to negotiate ebook rights from a distributor, so I’ll keep you posted on that.
In the meantime, back to work! Thanks for stopping by.

Cool Things To Check Out
Posted on July 4, 2008
Hi, all–
All right. Got some stuff to tell you about.
FIRST–I’m pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with Bedazzled Ink, the faboo press that will be publishing “Friends in High Places,” the first science fiction novel in the space opera series I’ve been yammering on about. You can find out more about that by clicking this special link here. I’m working on a name for the series. I’ll start using it as soon as it presents itself. So if y’all are sci fi folks, this might be for you. Keep it tooned here, cuz I’ll have an excerpt ready to post probably in November, though as you can see from Mindancer Books that you’ll get a sneak preview of Torri and Kai in “Games With Chance” which will be published in Bedazzled Ink’s e-zine Khimairal Ink.
SECOND–I’m really psyched to be blogging on a site put together by colleague and writer-in-arms Jove Belle. She’s rounded up some writer-types, including me, and turned us loose on her blog, called Women and Words. I’m the guinea pig–I went first. So here’s the link to my contribution, called “Road Trippin’” and it deals with “sense of place” in my fiction. Check it out! Different writers doing different things, like talking about writing, editing, creative process, publishing, and whatever hoo-ha we come up with.
Okay, let’s talk about some more stuff!
Check out Ultra Violet Book Café when you get a chance. They’re based in South Africa and they’re doing a lot of really neat-o things like book reviews, author interviews, and featured authors. Rumor has it I’ll be one of their featured authors, which is so freakin’ cool I can’t stand it! Last I heard, they were working on getting a link and permissions together to sell to U.S. customers (if y’all wanna support a venture like this put on by sis-tahs in SA).
Also, I blog for WOW! (Women’s World), which is a really groovy site with all kinds of things of interest to women of all persuasions, backgrounds, whatever. Currently, they’re upgrading their site for even MORE capability but the blogs are all accessible.
I’ll be on the road again beginning Sunday but back probably Thursday or Friday. Headed to Nevada (no, I’m NOT going to Las Vegas!) to interview a girls’ high school basketball team on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation. This team is bound for NABI–the Native American Basketball Invitational tournament, held in Phoenix in about 2 weeks. Oh, yeah. Phoenix in July! Because living in a blast furnace was never so much fun!
And don’t forget, GCLS is the end of July. That’s the Golden Crown Literary Society, which is all about lesbian fiction. Here’s the link for the conference, if you haven’t visited it already. There’s still time to get your tix and make your reservations. I’m doing a panel there, a discussion group, and running around like a freak (and that’s different how…?) so hope to see you there.
And remember, you can find me at Facebook and also at LiveJournal. And don’t forget to catch me at MySpace, where I do some crazy-ass blogging.
Thanks for stopping by!
