Hi, peeps–

Whew. I FINALLY had a few seconds to spare and I’ve uploaded the cover image for my forthcoming sci fi (specifically–space opera!) book, ” Friends In High Places.” This is the first official installment of a series, but I haven’t named the series yet. It hasn’t told me what it wants to be called. Soon, I’ll let you know and post it here. In the meantime, hope you dig it.

Working away on the third installment of the New Mexico series, which I’m trying to get in to my publisher the end of this month. For those of you who have read “Land of Entrapment” and let me know what you think, thank you so much! And to those of you who like it, BIG thanks! I’m honored and hope that you’ll stick around to find out what other situations the New Mexico gang gets into. Remember, “State of Denial” will be published in December of this year, so you’ll have another fix if you’re into it.

That’s how that goes. But okay, I didn’t drink tequila at the GCLS conference, from which I JUST returned last night (this morning?) around 11.58 PM. I did, however, indulge in a mojito. So there you go.

All rightie, back to sloggin’ away tomorrow. Have to go through the second set of edits on “State of Denial,” finish an edit-for-hire on another manuscript, and just all around get organized. I’ve been on the road quite a bit and I’m pleased to report that short of a few short trips to Denver (which is only 130 miles away), I’m gonna be chillin’ for a couple months. YEEE-HA!

To all of you I saw at GCLS–thank you so much for attending and to those of you who have read “Land of Entrapment” and were gracious enough to ask for my signature, thank you so much for your support and for your interest in my work. GCLS is under way!

And it is phreakin’ hot in Phoenix. Promises to be 115 F today. I actually went running last night, when it was 88 F. Still debating if that was a good idea or not.

At any rate, I’m pleased to report that “Land of Entrapment” seems to be doing quite well here. Starcrossed Productions has a booth here and it sold out thus far. Of course, that’s maybe 5 books, but HEY! WOOOO! Lots of requests to sign it–thank you SO SO much for reading it. I greatly appreciate it.

So far, our coffee talk yesterday–me moderating for Joan Opyr and Jane Fletcher–went well. Today’s panel on setting is at 1.30 Pacific time. Me doing the Jane and Joan show! WOOO!

Lots of panels, lots of discussions, lots of fun. More later as it becomes available. I must see how things unfurl and then I’ll tell all. MUAH HA HA! Stay tooned…
