To which R. G. and I responded:

We are pirate anthology editors, but pirates nonetheless. Forget that million pounds nonsense. We want a BILLION pounds. In unmarked notes placed in a stylish leather attaché case (black) and delivered to the Kazakhstan Embassy in New York City. We’ll be dressed in Snow Queen Vodka outfits standing on either side of the entrance of said embassy on America’s Independence Day. Come alone and come unarmed (though your natural born arms are okay). And bring two large cups of really good coffee and two chocolate biscotti. And while you’re at it, hire an editor for your spams. We’re available.

Ah, the net! Endless hours of amusement!

Searching for “Carrie”

Posted on May 23, 2009

Greetings, all–

I’m trying to locate “Carrie,” whose email handle is “othellokitty.” She won a copy of State of Denial over at Women and Words and we’ve been trying to get in touch with her for over a week with no success. I’m thinking my emails are getting shoved into her spam box…So if you know her, could you please pass along that Andi Marquette and Jove Belle are trying to reach her so I can hook her up with this copy of State that she won? She can contact me here at the Contact page.

Thanks, all!

Book Giveaway! Clifford Henderson!

Posted on May 6, 2009

Hey, all–another fabulous book giveaway at Women and Words. This time, it’s Cliffi Henderson’s Middle of Somewhere. Here’s a synopsis:

Eadie T. Pratt sets out on a road trip in search of a new life and ends up in the middle of somewhere she never expected.

Start with one independent, urban lesbian who cashes out her life in San Francisco for a secondhand travel trailer and sets off to the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival in search of a new life. Add to this a broken-down ’66 T-bird, a bunch of small-town Texas Baptists, a ton of fried food, and a church scandal. Pepper with a hot love interest and a dash of greed, and what you get is Eadie T. Pratt’s road trip gone awry.

All you have to do to enter the drawing is FOLLOW THIS LINK and leave a comment (don’t forget your email address).

And if you’d like to find out how doing an audiobook works, I was able to hang out a bit with Cliffi when she was putting MOS to sound. Follow THIS link to see how that went.

And if you enter the drawing, good luck!
