So I’m super-stoked to be a host on this here awesome blog tour for the one and only Lambda-winning Sacchi Green! Dirt Road Books just released her latest collection of F/F short stories (full disclosure: I am a co-founder and co-owner of DRB) and we’re all extremely excited about this anthology, and we think you will be, too. It spans historical eras, themes, and deals with narrative and characterization as only Sacchi can.
I’ve been reading and admiring Sacchi’s work for about seven years, now, so it’s really cool (and I’m really honored) that I’m with a publishing house that is actually publishing one of her collections and I hope that you, too, will find between the pages what so many others have: laughter, sex, magic, romance, and tension against a variety of backdrops in a variety of settings.
Below, you’ll also have a chance to enter a giveaway that includes one of Sacchi’s collectible anthologies as well as titles from the other authors on this blog tour.
AND make sure you hit the link below to read the steamy hot excerpt Sacchi provided.
So stick around and spend some time with Sacchi.
And make sure you hit up the other blog sites on this tour, which have different excerpts (some audio, some written). Some feature interviews with Sacchi. It’s a veritable cornucopia o’ info!
Here’s the schedule:
And now, I’m gonna turn it over to Sacchi, who’s got some background and an excerpt from one of her works.
Oh, this excerpt is NSFW. Just a heads-up there. muah ha haaaaa
My brand new book comes out today, March 19th. And this time, instead of an anthology, it’s a collection entirely of my own work, being published by the wonderful folks at Dirt Road Books.
Much as I love to present anthologies that include so many great writers who trust me with their stories, there’s a special thrill in revisiting my own characters and settings and stories. Some of these you may have read already, but some appeared in books you may very well have missed, and two have never been published before.
I thought of posting excerpts here to celebrate Wild Rides. What to choose? The gargoyle fetish in Paris? The wounded veterans making a new life together after the trauma of war in the desert? Pirates in the Pacific on the verge of WWII?
No, instead I decided to share a story here that isn’t even in the new book, one with the same characters you’ll meet in my story “Meltdown” in Wild Rides.
“Meltdown” is set in snowy New Hampshire, but in their previous adventure,
“Bright Angel,” super-model Maura and photographer Roby play out their complex relationship on the edge of the Grand Canyon. You can read this now, and then see what else they’ve been up to in Wild Rides.
“Bright Angel,” is included in my previous collection from way back in 2011, A Ride to Remember, from Lethe Press.
To read it, click the link below! (reminder: NSFW)
And now, friends, hit the below link for not only a giveaway of one of Sacchi’s collectible anthologies, but also something by me, too, and titles by the other authors hosting this blog tour!
Happy fun times! If that link gives you trouble, try this one.
Thanks so much for joining me, and we hope that you’ll take a ride with Sacchi’s latest collection.
Sacchi Green is a Lambda Award-winning writer and editor of erotica and other stimulating genres. She lives in western Massachusetts, with an alternate retreat in the mountains of New Hampshire and occasional forays into such real world spots as NYC for readings. Her work has appeared in scores of publications, including multiple volumes of Best Lesbian Erotica, Best Women’s Erotica, Best Transgender Erotica, and Best Fantasy Erotica, and she’s also edited seventeen anthologies over the last fourteen years, most of them lesbian erotica. Nine have been finalists for Lambda Literary Awards, and two of those have been Lambda winners, while four have won Golden Crown Literary Society awards. All these awards, of course, are actually due to the fine writers who trust her with their work.
Sacchi has most recently edited Best Lesbian Erotica of the Year 20th Anniversary Edition, Best Lesbian Erotica of the Year Volume 2 and Volume 3, and, possibly the most fun of all, Witches, Princesses and Women at Arms: Erotic Lesbian Fairy Tales. Her very first novel is Shadow Hand, a superheroine book that puts a new twist on the genre, and her newest publication is a collection of her own short stories, Wild Rides and Other Lesbian Erotic Adventures, from Dirt Road Books.
