Hi, friends!
I’m pleased to report that the novella (novelette?) “Some Kind of River” is available on Kindle for $.99. That’s right! Just under a buck! Can you dig it?

What’s it about? Here:
River rafting guide and kayaking nut Dez Parker figures her best friend Mel Hammond just isn’t into her romantically, which bums Dez out because they’ll be spending the summer guiding together and Mel seems like the right kind of woman for her. Then again, Dez doesn’t want to ruin a friendship by admitting her feelings to Mel. That changes when she finds out that Mel might be interested in someone, and Dez is torn between wanting to take a chance and respecting Mel’s choice. Is it really too late for Dez? Or is there something she doesn’t know? Whichever it is, a summer on the river isn’t always a smooth ride.
So go spend some time with Dez and Mel. You might like it.
Very cool! Congratulations!
I finally got the dang thing re-written and formatted. It was originally published in 2008. I recently got the rights back and loaded it up into Kindle, so we’ll see how people dig it… 😀
Very cool! An Andi Marquette story for a buck? Holy crap that’s a great deal!
Hokey-dokey. It took me a little while to get around to it, but i did buy the Kindle version shortly after it went up on Amazon. You did not disappoint. My reaction to the tweaked version was about the same as with the original (which is to say there may or may not have been a fist-pump and a “Woo hoo!”).
Long story short, i’m glad i got it.
P.S. The part about the guy with dreadlocks and a junky car reminds me of a boater joke. “You might be paddler if… your boat is worth more than your car.” And this one just came to mind: “What do rafters call kayaks? Speed bumps.”
woo! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the jokes!
